Effective Networking

Networking is connecting with other people and operating as a network. How well are you handling this task? If you are a business professional you should certainly network on a daily basis. If not, networking is the one task that you should implement in your business. The point I’m making is that networking is essential for your success as a professional.

Honestly, getting out there and meeting people is not on everyone’s list of favorite things to do. It was not my speciality at first but after taking action I am more comfortable now than I have ever been. Many of you would rather spend your time hanging out with friends or people they already know. What if the people you meet on a day to day basis become your friend? What if you approach them as a friend, with an open mind? That is was networking is about. It is about finding people and connecting with them and building sustainable relationships.

Relationship marketing is the most common marketing in most industries today. Many people will do business with people they like. If people like you they probably trust you and if they trust you they know a little about you. Know, Like, and Trust. Effective networking is building relationships with people who will know, like and trust you.

Now that I have your attention, you may be wondering how you can start networking or what you can do to build effective relationships. As a real estate agent, I have to meet people and talk to people everyday. Over the last 12 months I’ve increased my contact database by 47% from networking alone. What can a 47% increase do for your business? Maybe it can do a bunch  or maybe not if you do not follow up and maintain these new connections.

I’ve created a networking guide that will help you do just that, build the relationship beyond the introduction.

Inside this guide you will find:

  • Step-by-step guide from first meeting thru relationship building
  • Real life examples
  • Additional tips
  • Conversation templates

This guide will help you:

  • Find new clientele
  • Secure meetings with high public figures
  • Create professional relationships with your peer

So now that you know that you could simply go out and meet people to grow your business, are you going to do it? Are you interested in being the newest person to learn how to effectively network? If so, let’s do it!
